Microsoft Whiteboard
Microsoft Whiteboard - Ideate, Create & Collaborate Microsoft Whiteboard is a free form intelligent canvas for individuals & teams to ideate, create & collaborate via the cloud. Designed for touch, type & pen, it supports real-time collaboration in addition to drawing, adding images & documents & reactions. When creating a new board, users can choose a template to work from. Alternatively, they can start with a blank screen. Once they begin working, the top left area of the screen displays a range of inking tools including pens with editable colors and thicknesses, arrows, lasso tools, and a highlighter. When clicked, each tool allows for a different amount of pressure to be applied. If the user clicks on an element, a toolbar will appear with options to select, move, and change its size (Figure B). Whiteboard also supports adding PDF documents to boards. These can be uploaded from the computer or OneDrive and are then displayed as an image on the whiteboard. The pages of the PDF can be moved around, resized, or locked to the background. Sticky notes can also be added to the whiteboard. These are a great way to display information and can be positioned anywhere on the whiteboard. Clicking on the sticky note will reveal more options such as changing its color, adding alternate text to provide additional info for screen readers, or resizing it. Lastly, the whiteboard has the ability to be exported in either standard or high resolution images. The resulting file can be posted to D2L, shared in a team chat, or simply downloaded.
